Would you have preferred to vote differently in your region?
This voting strategy gives preference to the parties that are well established, well resourced and have an unequivocal 'Remain' agenda. If you would have preferred to vote differently in your region, we implore you to put pragmatism before party loyalty.
Some might feel that we should be trying to hold on to every Pro-Remain MEP seat won in the 2014 EU Elections. We recognize that some of those MEPs have done outstanding work. However, those elections had no theme - Brexit didn't exist and the masses had no real motivation to cast their votes. Therefore, the results of the 2014 elections are somewhat irrelevant today. Our focus needs to be on shaking up the status quo and putting our Pro-Remain MEPs at the top of the list, not merely scoring seats at the bottom.
Change UK:
Our reason for not including Change UK in the voting strategy is that they are simply not well-established. Our research has shown that people are still wary of this new party. Also, their refusal to form a Remain alliance with other Pro-EU parties for these elections has made them a disrupting factor, splitting the Remainer vote.
The Labour Pary:
Our view is that Remainers should not put their ‘X’ by Labour. Jeremy Corbyn will not commit to including a remain option in the event of a Confirmatory Vote and he and Theresa May have clearly stated that they intend to work together to get a Brexit deal passed in parliament. Labour is unquestionably a Soft-Brexit party and any Remainer votes for them would hinder our cause.
